Chemical properties: red-brown powder. Soluble in orange-red water, slightly soluble in ethanol and ethylene glycol ether, insoluble in most organic solvents. The maximum absorption wavelength is 505 nm.

Purpose: Biostain, Blue Island, Tissue Section, Cytoplasmic staining, Vaginal smear staining (Orange G and Fixed Green FCF are used together).

Storage: Sealed, cool and dry.
