Chemical properties: white acicular crystals, granules or powders. It smells of acetic acid. It tastes bitter. It absorbs moisture easily. All water is not lost below 150℃. When heated to 160℃, it is decomposed into acetone and calcium carbonate. Soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol. The pH of 0.2 mol/L aqueous solution is 7.6. The relative density is 1.50. Low toxicity, half lethal dose (rat, oral) 4.28g/kg.

Purpose: Analytical reagent. Acetic acid and acetone were prepared. Food stabilizers. Corrosion inhibitors.

Storage Conditions: Sealed and dried.
