Chemical Properties: Light yellow crystalline powder. It is an electron acceptor. It can dissolve 0.5G in 100 ml water at 25℃. Soluble in ethanol, insoluble in ether. Melting point 227-229℃ (decomposition). The oxidation type is colorless crystalline powder. The reductive type is red purple acicular crystal. Soluble in most organic solvents, insoluble in water. Melting point 185-186℃. Toxic. It's stimulating.

Purpose: Pathochemical study, used as bacterial stain. Quantitative analysis of corticosterone and oxidoreductase (such as lactic acid and succinate dehydrogenase).

Storage Conditions: Sealed, cool, dry and dark.
