Chemical Properties: Iron dextran injection is a dark brown colloidal solution. Dextran iron solid is dark brown amorphous powder. It is odorless and astringent. It has hygroscopicity in the air. Soluble in water, dark brown colloidal solution, pH 5.2-6.5, insoluble in organic solvents such as ethanol.
