Chemical Properties: Colorless or light straw yellow spherical or acicular crystals. Soluble in water, its 1% aqueous solution pH is about 5.2. Absorption coefficient (E1% 279 nm) was 6.67.

Purpose: Biochemical research. Genetic engineering and medical research. It is used as a stabilizer of peptidases and other proteins. Protein standard.
