Chemical Properties: White or light yellow crystalline powder. Sulfate of a mixture of neomycin A, neomycin B and neomycin C isolated from the secretion of Strep fradiac. It's almost odorless. It's tasteless. Sensitive to light. It has hygroscopicity. It is soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, and insoluble in acetone, chloroform and ether. Its aqueous solution is dextral. Solids and solutions are stable at room temperature. Toxic.

Use: Antibiotics.

Storage Conditions: Sealed, dry and light-proof.
